About the project
Traditionally, the 3.5-year training programme for HVAC system mechanics tends to focus on how heating systems based on fossil fuels work. The learning field "Renewable energies" only takes up a small part. Pellet-fuelled central heating systems, which are based on CO2-neutral renewable solid fuel, are given far too little attention. A survey also showed that vocational schools would like digital support for teaching.
That's why the German Pellet Institute (DEPI) commissioned us to produce a comprehensive online training programme that is suitable for use in vocational schools and as a learning app for trainees.
After around 1 year of development, 4 comprehensive learning modules have been created, which provide background information on the importance of pellet heating and specialist knowledge on everything from fuel and firing technology to storage. The "Pellet-Online" course is available free of charge to interested vocational schools. Together with the "WP-Online" course, it is part of the "Green Heat" course programme, which is supported by the German Central Association for Sanitary, Heating and Air Conditioning (ZVSHK).
